The nearby town of Helen, GA is where I do my day-to-day shopping. A little over 50 years ago, it rebuilt itself as an alpine village and is now Georgia’s No. 3 destination for tourists. A travel magazine just named it one of the top 10 places in the nation to go at Christmastime. This weekend, we are having both vivid fall color and the beginning of the Christmas season in Helen.
