British Anthropologist-Educator, Stefan Milo, produces the finest archaeological videos on Youtube. For those interested in the subject, I suggest subscribing to his channel. There is one statement on his video, which I would like to challenge. He said that all Native Americans were descended from people, who crossed over the Bering Strait from Siberia. Of course, this is the standard orthodoxy from North American academia, but linguistics, DNA and architecture is saying something else . . . at least in the Southeastern United States. It is safe to say that most Native Americans today carry a substantial genetic heritage from Siberians.
Currently, the oldest DNA profiles in the Southeast, scientifically examined in Florida, is not Siberian, but Eurasian, typical of the ancestors of the Sami and Finns 8,000 years ago. The core words in the Muskogee-Creek language are Indo-European . . . a mixture of Illyrian, Italic and Archaic Gaelic (northwestern Iberian Peninsula). That hybrid language then mixed with Archaic Choctaw-Chickasaw and Itza Maya to get the language spoken today in Oklahoma. The names of several tribal members of the Creek Confederacy can be translated with an Archaic Gaelic dictionary or in one case, an Archaic Anglisk (English) dictionary. The Gaelic heritage is even stronger in Uchee (Yuchi).
That whole land bridge thing across the Bering Strait is….well at best an educated guess. More along the lines of black holes, dark matter, and gravitational waves. Like the Big Bang it makes a great story in attempt to justify lazy theories and thinking. Modern Anthropology cannot seem to get out of its own way. The fatal flaw in thinking is not checking their premises in developing theories. In this case it is the presumption that ancient man had to act according to our modern way of human survival. Hence the land bridge. “Its the only way humans could have made it here to North America” they say. Taking man out of his time and judging their actions based on our way of living. No context, just lazy thinking and wild guesses based on flawed scientific theory. This is how you get modern day pop anthropologist to perpetuate myths, conjecture, and out right fraud.
Keep up the great work Richard. Systems integration is the key to understanding proper science. Bringing together many facts from various disciplines where cross theories check and balance each other shapes concrete concepts. Maybe one day they will pour some concrete over that land bridge and it will fall into the Bering Sea LoL!
