Plus, you will get to see the musical debut of Bubba Mountain Lion on Youtube! Seriously folks, you are about to see some magnificent scenery that could only be reached by hiking or canoeing to it. The photos were taken in 2010, 2011 and 2012, when I was living with my three herd dogs in a tent or an abandoned chicken house.

Even though I live here, I could look at the photos of the mountains, rivers, creeks, and valleys all day. I think we get so used to seeing everything from the vantage point of a car driving down the road that we forget to recognize the majesty and beauty that is all around us. It’s strange that whenever I go my daughter’s in Rocky Face between Fort Mountain and Lookout Mountain I really see the landscape. But everyone over there wants to come here to see the mountains.

How true! I didn’t really appreciate the beauty of the Southern Appalachians until I was literally living in the midst of it . . . in a tent.
