Photograph in 1939 by Archaeologist Robert Wauchope of petroglyphs near Long Swamp Creek and the massive Tate, GA marble quarry.
by Richard L. Thornton, Architect & City Planner
This petroglyphic site is located at the southern tip of the Blue Ridge Mountains, above the world’s largest marble deposit, an area that contains no gold. However, on the opposite side of the mountain ridge overlooking this rock is the Amicalola Creek Valley, which does contain sizable gold deposits.
The circle with an X in it was the universal glyph for gold during the European Bronze Age. The spiral is probably a partial solar eclipse. Some of the other symbols, however, are from a writing system only found in Southern Sweden during the Bronze Age . . . not even in other parts of Scandinavia. The use of a “tail” attached to another symbol is found in southern Sweden, the gold-bearing regions of Galicia and Navarre in the Iberian Peninsula and in northern Georgia.
The chart of Southern Sweden Bronze Age glyphs, below, was sent to me by the Lund University Institute for Archaeology and Ancient History. Lund University, is located about 21 miles (32.7 km) southeast of Landskrona, Sweden . . . where I worked, immediately after graduation from Georgia Tech. My Swedish girlfriend was a law student there. I also audited classes in Swedish architectural history there. It is considered one of the top universities in the world, so any information they provide, should be considered seriously.
At some point in time after Wauchope’s visit, this rock was stolen.

My Grandma Ruth Duncan from El Cajon California was crazy about rose quartz and went mining constantly after retirement from her job in Santee. I have not completely nailed down her Duncan grandfather yet (Willis F Duncan), but think her parents (Marion Frances Duncan, 1861, brother of George Washington Duncan, Bollinger MO) and wife Letha Frances Manes went up the Oregon Trail circa 1888 to mine and ended up at the brand new oil facility in Bakersfield, then moved to Mesa Grande for the mining. Some of them were born at Mesa Grande, and they lived in Flinn Springs. The first two of their children clearly look native and ended up in Oregon. Other Willis Duncans followed the Chicasaw path from Ky to Miss to Ark and then went to Watonwan in 1962- I think to mine peace pipe clay. Not sure if they fought the war. Their children also were scattered west later, mostly to mining areas out west. I think we are related to the Alabama Duncans, who may have come with the Shawnees to Creek Territory because I could be the twin of Sydney Duncan. https://www.al.com/opinion/2019/05/sydney-duncan-this-is-my-alabama.html While my other families look a little different, I think I got this look from multiple families on both sides because it is exactly what you say: The characteristics are Jewish and I look more like some of the people on TV right now- my son looks exactly like the blond Israeli reporter on Fox. Go figure! And it is as you say, many of my family members on both sides were from Ulster- and they were in fact likely crypto Jews, though presented as Protestant- even they did not know. The Duncans in Missouri were some of the Baptist Reformation leaders of the day. They were all Masons and my father was a Mason- I think the ceremony, though demonized, was simply reenactment of what they had to do to stay secret and the terrible brutality of the day (even England was still chopping heads after they came here). I think the Masons is nothing but the Jews and Indians club via (mostly) Scots. Note Rainbow Girls started on Oklahoma and Assembly of God started on Arkansas and included Native Americans on the original Board. Kind Regards, Denise

Speaking of “staying secret,” my maternal grandmother used to say her mothers people married white men to change their names and not be found out (during the time of the forced march of the Cherokee—Trail of Tears).
I also have heard The Book of Mormon referred to as the Native American bible since it refers to the Native Americans as one or more of the “lost tribes” of Israel.

LOL, well now I am embarrassed- did not intend to publish. People here know better than me, that is why O replied. This is what I have found- Shawnees were sent to Ohio then Bollinger MO after the second war with Patriots where Tecumseh ended up in Canada- that was about the same time as my Willis Duncan was born. There were also many Duncans in Ky, where I found one Willis who died. Those Duncans mostly came from Va. Then there are all of the Canadian Plains people from Ontario, also with many Willis and many Duncans- they could have come from Sarnia. The other Willis Duncans who moved from Ky to Miss to Ark then to Watonwan claimed on census that they were Canadian. Then there are the Duncans who were always in Ga at the time. Who knows! I found this today: http://www.faculty.ucr.edu/~legneref/bronze/celts.htm Amazing!

Please note that Sydney is an important lawyer. It is probably best not to use her name without her permission on a public website. Kind Regards
