Sailing Ships from Bronze Age Scandinavia

Archaeologists have discovered Nordic Bronze Age sailing ships and oar-powered boats quite capable of transiting ocean waters. Petroglyphs of these vessels along the North Sea and Oresund Coasts of Sweden and Norway. However, the vessels are depicted along with Nordic Bronze Age astronomical and navigations symbols on the Tugaloo Stone . . . displayed at the Traveler’s Rest State Historic Site, near Toccoa, GA. All of these symbols can be found in southern Sweden and on boulders near Glasgow and Dundee, Scotland. We will discuss the petroglyphic evidence in later articles.
