No, these megaliths are not in the British Isles!

The Peopling of Eastern North America Series

This shrine is located on the eastern edge of the Cohutta National Wilderness Area in Fannin County, GA. The four-sided stone was definitely carved.

I found a similar shrine on my mountain crest property. However, the even larger principal stone was about six feet (2 m.) long and was carved in the shape of a spear point.

The photos were made in the summer of 2011, when I was living in a chicken house near Track Rock Gap in Union County, GA. Anything I said about the ethnicity of the builders of these megalith shrines would be completely speculative.
