Federal agencies, federal employees and U. S Department of Defense personnel are ordered to not participate in any activities related to Native American history or culture that month!
The executive order is the result of Native American Heritage Month being placed on a list of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) programs from the Obama Administration by Elon Musk’s ex-officio Department of Government Efficiency. Neither President Obama nor President Biden had anything to do with the official federal designation of Native American Heritage Month!

Native American Heritage Month has nothing to do with any recent diversity programs in government agencies. It is NOT a “Democratic Liberal plot” . . . whatever a liberal is. In fact, National American Indian Heritage Month was proposed and implemented by President George H. Bush (a Republican) in 1990 in order “to encourage a broader understanding of the long history of North America” – quoting President Bush.
His wife, Barbara Bush, enthusiastically participated in the initial event in November 1991, sponsored by the U. S. Department of Agriculture. The program described the indigenous people’s agricultural achievements and contributions to the diets of people throughout the world. I was there along with my French soulmate, Vivi, who is 1/4th Maya. She was a friend of Barbara. They first met when Vivi sang the Marseillaise at the French Embassy. So, does that make Barbara Bush a radical leftist?
This nation has seemed to have quickly evolved from a meritocracy to a land run by mean-spirited ignoramuses.
