In 1939, the highly respected archaeologist, Dr. Robert Wauchope, unearthed proof that the colony’s leaders settled in the Naccoochee Valley of Northeast Georgia, but his discoveries were concealed or dissed for 85 years.
Below, I have included links to the two educational videos that I produced seven years ago, which explain in detail, what Wauchope discovered. Wachope’s discoveries were far more definitive than at the digs near Roanoke Island, which are now being publicized. He found Eleanor Dare’s tomb and stone burial markers! The last resting place of Eleanor Dare is about two miles from my cottage.
