For the past twenty years, “The Americas Revealed” and its predecessor, “The People of One Fire,” have been free to all subscribers and contained no advertising, It will still be free and not contain the trashy advertising that you now see swarming all over YouTube and many monetized websites. However . . .
Two years ago, all the major booksellers formed a cartel, which initially seemed beneficial. Any book, published in the United States, would be marketed by all cartel members. What actually happened though, is that the retailers began jacking up the retail prices, while shrinking the portion of the retail price going to the book publishing companies and authors.
It has gotten to the point that I am getting almost nothing – or this past month – NOTHING, from selling the products of hundreds or thousands of hours of work. Books. written by me, that cost $35 three years ago are now being sold for $112-$124 . . . with Amazon or other cartel members getting most of the money and me getting a few cents or nothing at all.
As soon as the modified website can be re-formated, I will begin selling educational products from this website. The reason that this website has an empty bar on the right is that Woodpress encourages website owners to let them fill it in with ads . . . which are often “junky” like the ones on YouTube. Don’t worry, even though WordPress continues to increase their annual fees, I will not display ads by other business enterprises.
What this website will be marketing are:
(1) Books that I have written or written in conjunction with other authors.
(2) Digital architectural renderings and photographs for use in publications. Currently, book publishing companies have had to negotiate personally with me for each image needed. These will include photographs of the archaeological sites that I have visited in the United States. Mexico and Europe.
(3) Professionally enhanced, printed and (if desired) framed architectural renderings, photographs and art by me to be mounted on walls. I have made arrangements with an outstanding studio in Atlanta for creating these fine works of art. The studio can create exact full color copies of my creative work, three dimensionally, to simulate color ink, black ink, water colors and oil paint. They can print on any medium, including coarse canvass.
(4) Tour guides to archaeological zones, historic towns and historic buildings in North America, Mexico and Europe that I have professionally studied in the past.
During the interim between now and the final version, this website may be “under construction” for short periods. I appreciate your patience during the transition.
I appreciate this information. I was recently shocked by the price of a book. It’s sad to hear of these machinations, but unfortunately I’m not surprised. Very disappointed. As someone who has been encouraged to write and publish her own research thank you for warning other authors.
I have been following you for a long time. I think it’s been nearly as long as you were on the web. The ancient DNA results show that the same sort of movement and interaction should be found in the Western Hemisphere too. And you are doing it!
Then there’s little researcher me, just trying to find her grandmother’s elusive Native American ancestor. Traditional archaeology and history made it seem complicates enough. Now I just have to laugh. I’m just thankful I could well document my Mohican-Wappinger line back to a Wappinger chief born in the 1600s. A researcher friend has found more which I am waiting for.
I always liked Pernell Roberts too.
Take care and good luck.

Geez! The Creek-Southeast Message Board started in 1999! That means that you are at least old enough to buy wine in the store – rather than make it yourself at home. My mother grew up in a family that believed that as long as you made wine or brewed beer in your farmhouse, it was not sinful. LOL

Will your books be offered as audio books for people that are low vision? I’m excited about the books either way because we homeschool and this is the kind of education that I want to give my kids. Thank you for all the hard work.

Not right now, but it is a good idea the future. Well over half of the surface area of my books are drawings and photographs. They wouldn’t be suitable for audio conversion. However, the “Lords of Cumberland” (2008) and “The Shenandoah Chronicles” (2026) are real life adventures, which would be suitable for audio conversion.

Richard, This is an excellent way to sell your products. Haven’t been online much this year with Jerry’s health issues. Hope you are staying healthy, my friend. I have a lot of reading to catch up on. I look forward to doing so, and look forward to more!

Hey Neighbor! Actually, I have sent you a couple of emails to check on y’all and didn’t hear back. I presumed it was health issues – either you or Jerrry. I am fine. My legs are finally healing up from being struck by lightning. It’s taken forever. For over three years the skin on my legs looked like alligator leather!

This is great news. I held off buying the Apalache Chronicles for over a year after I read about it in your blog. I didn’t want to give Amazon the money. But I couldn’t find it anywhere else. Your publisher’s site didn’t have that book listed. Marilyn Rae’s publisher didn’t offer it for sale. I finally had to pay Amazon for it. Good book. Would have rather given you the money.
Thank you for the information you have uncovered and shared about the true history of the Southeastern United States. It’s changed the path of my lifelong quest for knowledge.

I can’t find Marilyn Rae either and had to buy from Amazon, A found that my two copies had been chewed and peed on by rats – apparently two years ago when I had a rat infestation. She is the co-owner of Ancient Cypress Press. The Ancient Cypress website is dead. I can’t an answer from her phone or a response from email.

WordPress now uses AI for its technical support. So far, each robot has told me a different way to set up a column for ordering books. None of them work. LOL
