One Summer In Mexico – Part 27
Mama always said, “Richard, life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you gonna get out of it, when you wake up each morning.” I have been invited to the celebration of the wedding of Giselle, Ruth Soto’s daughter later this year. All of the real life characters that you have come to know and love, except Professor Jose’ Soto, now live in Cancun. Sadly, he passed away a few years ago. This time around, I am going to make sure there is no aunt around to ring the door bell at just the wrong moment. Nor will I allow my sister to peek through the keyhole of “you know who’s” bathroom door. That’s a private message to Little Sis.
Change of format in the “Mexico” series
There are over 3,000 color slides in my boxes that were taken from from July 27 to October 12, 1970. We have already been to sites that created another 500+ slides. The remaining slides include those of David and Linda Schele, who were visiting Palenque for the first time like me. Linda was so impressed with Palenque that she obtained a PhD in Anthropology and quickly became one of the leading authorities in the world on the Maya writing system. At the time the slides were made, he was a young architect and she was an art student at the University of South Alabama.
I can’t begin to put all these images in articles, published in this website. Yesterday, Corel sent me an upgrade to my video creation and editing software, which included a new type of software, which converts old color slides into vividly colored movies. So what I am going to do is have brief articles on each of these archaeological sites that include links to a video on my People of One Fire. Well . . . better order a passport now! Shezam!
The Americas Revealed 
I wish I could sit at your giant slide show Richard. I would just “binge watching” that Awesomeness. The Big screen (not a computer one) and get to see each and every slide, hear you talk about. Get to be in another world and time. That would be cool. When I was young often missionaries would come to our church for programs. They would give presentations about the countries they traveled to. I never got enough of learning about all the exotic places an looking at their slide shows.
It has been Awesome going on your summer serial “Magical Mystery Tour” from your fantastic journey from 50 ago. Loving your slides. Thanks for sharing them Richard.

Of course, I will have a voice track where I comment on most of the slides, but it is just impossible to put that many photos on this website. I have over 150 slides from Michoacan alone.
