The Americas Revealed 
I agree Richard. The site should have been excavated by archaeologists before it was cleared in order to analyze the pottery sherds and other artifacts so that history is not lost altogether.

It is not about preserving history anymore.
Sadly, if it can be covered up (or stripped away), it will be.

As I said, there was a lot more than pottery. One could see the stone foundations of buildings.
