News – Extinct Ice Age wolves has been re-created via cloning

The Dire Wolf disappeared from North America 10,000 years ago . . . about the same time as the last mammoths and mastodons!

In a scientific feat seemingly out of the movie, “Jurassic Park,” a genetic laboratory used the DNA from a frozen dire wolf to edit a Northern Gray Wolf embryo into being a Dire Wolf.

Successful cloning of other Ice Age mammals, such as the Eastern Woodland bison, mammoth, mastodon and American Lion seem now to be in the very near future.
