During the remainder of Summer 2026, The Americas Revealed will be featuring the amazing discoveries that have been made by Florida archaeologists in recent years. For unknown reasons, these discoveries are little known to their peers in other parts of North America. Perhaps, they are being intentionally ignored, because many radically change our understanding of North America’s past.
The virtual reality computer model of Miami around 500 AD is finished now. You will see views of Miami Before Columbus next week. I am currently completely re-creating the computer model of the Capital of the Calusas on Mound Key near Fort Myers, which I first developed 20 years ago for the Muscogee-Creek Nation. The new model will be based on LIDAR and major archaeological discoveries made during the past two decades. Calusa architecture has been found to be quite similar to that of the Austronesians, who originally lived on the Island of Taiwan.

That’s so amazing. I believe right before Key Biscayne there is an ancient Henge of some sort. Bimini road isn’t too far from there either. Cool stuff.

Hi, Richard!! Still following! I am looking forward to your posts next week and beyond. Keep the information coming as your work expands with technology. Jerry is doing well recovering from his bypasses last Fall. He is 80 tomorrow. I am doing well after more surgery to stabilize my spine – 4 vertebrae in the neck this time back in May. Congenital spine misalignments and osteoporosis hurdles but never giving up! Leonard had an emergency bypass after a stroke in March, but is recovering well with no cognitive issues, only still working on some muscle control. Lancers and Jackets are tough cookies, current writer/architect/archeologist reading this is included!! Still remembering you as you continue to heal from the lightning strike – takes a while to rebuild everything.

Mary Jane! Glad to hear from you today, believe or not, to learn how y’all are doing. Sorry to hear about Leonard’s stroke, but glad to learn that you and Jerry are healing up. I am able to hike farther and farther in the rugged woods in the back part of my property. I have had fits this year with monster pickups pulling up behind my Explorer and zapping me with a microwave gun, which causes the engine to temporarily shut down. A couple of times, it’s a miracle that I was not rammed from the rear, while trying to restart the engine. Must have angels guarding me.
Glad to learn that you are back to learning about the Southeast’s secret past!
