The Mayas in Georgia – Parte Dos . . . Cocoa consumed at Etowah Mounds!

After Georgia archaeologists made such a stink in 2012, prior to the premier of America Unearthed, shall we serve barbecued crow with a cup of chocolate?

In this popular 2012 program, the University of Minnesota Mineral Research Laboratory found a 100% match between attapulgite mined in Georgia and the Maya Blue stucco in the great Maya city of Palenque. None of the news releases about the cocoa from Southeastern archaeologists mention that fact. The story is presented as “Georgia archaeologists discover for the first time that the Mayas came to Georgia. “Geez – I wonder if that is the reason that the Creeks in Georgia only carry Mesoamerican DNA?”
